- Credit Score: Most lenders prefer a score of 620 or higher for conventional loans, though FHA loans may accept lower scores.
- Debt-to-Income Ratio (DTI): Lenders prefer a DTI under 43%.
- Income & Employment: A stable job history (at least 2 years) is ideal.
